Wine Grapes Presale Reservation: Viognier

Wine grape preorders are accepted from now through August 3, 2018.

Like Chardonnay, Viognier has the potential to produce full-bodied wines with a lush, soft character. In contrast to Chardonnay, the Viognier varietal has more natural aromatics that include notes of peach, pears, violets and minerality.

While Viognier can make excellent wine on its own, it is commonly used as a blending grape to brighten Chardonnay or Syrah.  If you have questions about blending, please contact us

Broadway Brew Supply obtains Viognier grapes from Palisade, CO.

Broadway Brew Supply sources Viognier and other classic varieties sometime between mid-September and mid-October depending on growing conditions and numerous other factors.

If you are not familiar with making wine from grapes, don’t worry!  We’ll help you through the process by providing a step-by-step checklist when you pick up your grapes.  For more detailed information, check out these great wine making books to add to your library.

In general, 50 lbs of wine grapes will make approximately 3 gallons of finished wine, and 100 lbs will make approximately 6 gallons of finished wine.
